Make your own lampshade Workshop - Murwillumbah

Where :   Murwillumbah Community Centre, Nullum Street, Murwillumbah 
When : Friday 24 July 2026 Start 3pm Finish 5:30pm

The workshop includes a 30cm diameter lampshade as your project, with the option to upgrade on the day to a larger 40cm diameter statement lampshade for an additional $20.🧵 

Lampshade Paper used on the workshop is engineered for lampshade making, Anti Static, UV Stable, Flame Retardant and has passed the Glow Wire Test carried out by the Lighting Association. It is a very safe product.

What to Bring :  Fabric Options : 

Bring your own fabric or  Fabric can also be purchased from Suzanne at Imprint Corner ($25 per panel) , where a range of suitable options is available.

• 30cm lampshade: approximately 120cm x 30cm
• 40cm lampshade: approximately 150cm x 36cm

Fabric selection: Light to medium weight cotton, linen, cotton drill, or polyester cotton work best. Not Suitable Fabrics;  very loose weave, stretchy, coarse texture, or uneven grain.   If you have any questions about fabric selection, feel free to reach out!

Additional Lampshade kits are available if you want to create another lampshade.  Kits include lampshade frames, lampshade lining, tape, glue and instructions.

Workshop & Ticketing Information

We keep things simple and paperless!
Once you book, you’ll receive a confirmation email, and closer to the workshop (around 3 days prior), we’ll send you a reminder email and a text message with all the important details—what to bring, timing, location, and any last-minute tips.
There's no need for a printed ticket. Your name (and the number of guests you've booked for) will be on our guest list at check-in.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made 14 days or more before the scheduled workshop will receive a full refund.
Cancellations made 7 to 13 days prior will receive a 50% refund.
Unfortunately, no refunds can be given for cancellations made within 7 days of the workshop.
These policies are in place to help ensure the smooth running of our workshops and services. As a small business, we’re unable to make exceptions to these timeframes.
We understand that unexpected situations can arise, and while we can’t offer refunds at short notice, you’re welcome to transfer your place to someone else if you’re unable to attend the  workshop.  If you wish to transfer your spot to someone else, please contact us by email at hello@imprintcorner.com.au or call/text 0466 373 216 to let us know.
