Making slow fashion home wares and promoting knowledge exchange
Imprint Corner is based around the concept of knowledge exchange and producing small batch locally-made, ecologically sustainable textile homeware products. We hand-print all our designs on natural fabrics in Queensland, using Australia made, water based ecologically safe inks. Our designs have only one or two colours in a minimalist style, centred around inspiration of Australian flora and fauna and patterns. Additionally, we dye fabrics using natural dyes particularly indigo, incorporate shibori techniques to provide unique products.
Imprint Corner provides workshops to the public, aiming to inspire participants to create, learn, laugh, explore, share and celebrate slow living. Initially, the workshops will be using indigo dye and shibori techniques, encouraging creative knowledge exchange and community sharing. Additional workshops will be scheduled for cyanotype (printing process that produces a cyan-blue print) and natural dyes.
